One of my Afghanistani friends has written a horrifying article about what is happening in Afghanistan under the control of President Karsai, and I don’t like it. No, not one bit!

Mullah Abdul Salam A Terror Loving Murdering
Low-Life Lunatic and Massacring Maniac
Is Now The New Chief Of Musa-Qala District

By: Mohammad Khairy

From the beginning of 2002, many Taliban top commanders were freed from Guantanamo Bay and Afghanistan’s jails by assurance of Karzai and his Pashtunsit team. Most of these commanders are implicated for civilian killings, women trafficking, raping, looting and imprisoning non-Pashtun citizens. The freed Taliban commanders rejoined Al Qaeda or were hired in many different position in the current government.

Mullah Abdul Salaam, a first degree murderer for the massacre of civilians and a former Taliban governor of Oruzgan Province and a senior Taliban commander was appointed on January 7,08 by President Karzai as the new chief of Musa-Qala district after US-troops and NATO recaptured it from the hand of Taliban. This is an awful situation. All males are being summarily executed just so they do not have time to raise up against these animals. And we are allowing this? Hurry up with those 3,000 Marines!

I am very saddened. Please pray for these men, women and children who do not enjoy the same freedoms that you and I do. Pray for their lives, safety, and hope. Also pray for God to crush al Qaida and the Taliban. Those freakin’ animals.

Hat-tip: Welcome to Mohammad Fahim Khairy’s Blog.

I have a few articles for you today that should be brought to the attention of the world outside of China. The fight for civil rights is alive and well in China, but we hear little of this. It truly is a fight, because people are imprisoned when they get caught. While in prison, they are beaten badly.

This first article is about a man whose only crime was he saw the humanity in each person. For this, they threw him in prison where he was beaten.

Chinese Rights Lawyer Beaten, Staging Hunger Strike in Prison.
December 28, 2007.

HONG KONG–Prominent Chinese civil rights lawyer Guo Feixiong has been beaten in prison and is now on the fifteenth day of a hunger strike, his wife and sister have told Radio Free Asia (RFA).

*snip*

“He told me he was beaten for a long time. The prisoner stopped beating him only when the onlookers began to boo and shush to express their displeasure. In the process of the beating, he fell from the stairs, about two meters,” Zhang said.

Guo Feixiong, the professional name of Yang Maodong, is serving a five-year sentence for conducting illegal business activities, after publishing a book about a political scandal and helping villagers lead a campaign to oust local officials accused of corruption. [Continue reading.]

There is also, in this article, news about his hunger strike, “Official says beating ‘impossible'” and international attention. Please read this article. Learn about China. You may think you know why you don’t like China, but find out how the people who live there are living. It may open your eyes to these claims of ‘free trade’.

I am a fair trader, not a free trader. Remember, there is NO SUCH THING as a free lunch. Just something to ponder.

Now onto some other links:

There are many issues in this post that need broader attention. Slavery? Rape? Permanent most favored nation??? I think NOT!

I may not write another open trackback tomorrow, but we’ll see. I have to catch up with my military posts, so maybe I will make a post out them. I’ll give you the title and a little about the article. That’s if I do it. I’m still waiting for that phone call from across this land mass…so have a Happy New Year, I pray for many blessings to all of you, and post what you will. Just make sure you add a link back to me and include me in your post. Also, no porn. This is Rosemary signing off for now.

Source: The New Afghanistan After Years of War.

This is an Afghanistan friend of mine who is keeping track of what is happening to his home. He sends me articles that he writes once in while. I hope you will find them as enlightening as I do. I hope that we may be able to change this landscape for all the good people of Afghanistan, including the girls and women.

The first article he wrote is entitled, “Afghanistan’s Exploitation of Women.” The second article is, “A Nation Reconnecting after Centuries.”

These two articles are very informative, and they give an insight into a land that is war-torn, yet beautiful, isolated, yet it used to be one of our great resouces, oppressed, yet on its way toward a democratic republic. If you would like a peak into the heart of Afghanistan, you will read these articles. It is at least, if nothing less, the revelations of one man who has been there and longs for peace. Thank you.

Manly Men & Womanly Ladies (OTB)

    Dear Men,

Speaking for myself, I was raised by a very strong Father. Regardless as to whether he was right or wrong, us children knew where we stood. One time I asked him how to know the difference between right and wrong and he said, “If you wouldn’t do it if I were there, then don’t do it!” This turned out to be a very good rule to live by. It’s just a shame I didn’t. Why didn’t I?

Because when it came down to the testing time (I was 14 when he caught me smoking a cigarrette), he failed. He did not follow through on his threat of, “If I ever catch any of you kids smoking, drinking, doing drugs, etc…” I caught the bus and went home. I was home before he was. I was ready to confess to my Mother and quit for good. Nothing ever happened. I give you this story in order to help you to understand what comes next.

Men, you have to stand up to the plate. You were put on earth for a reason, even if the libbers would have you think otherwise. You are responsible for the way societies evolve. If your neighborhood is going to hell in a handbasket, it is your fault. You are the one we look to for guidance.

Oh sure, you may not hear that much, and the schools truly are trying to change the make-up of a true CIVILIZED society, but it will never work. You are necessary, wanted, and appreciated. Please, come back and take your place in society.

    Dear Ladies,

Do not stand in the way of your man, but gently discuss your disagreements. Be wise as to which battles you choose do fight on, for it may be the battleground upon which you die.

We do not have to yell and scream like Rosie O’Donnel to get our message across. No, we are much wiser than her type. Men are a very necessary part of our lives, although many of us have been taught we don’t need them. Oh really? Is this true? Let’s think about that…were you Daddy’s little girl? I was, and it was the greatest sense of security I ever felt. This is a feeling neither my Mother nor any other woman could fulfill. Remember this when people are trying to convince you that you don’t need a man.

Yes, it is possible to live life without a man, but don’t expect the government to be your Daddy! I’m sick of it, and I’m sure many other women are as well. So what is your responsibility? Ah, this is a tricky one. Are you religious? Then it should not be so tricky. This, however, will work either way. We are to support the men in our community by helping them think up those decisions for which they will claim as their own! LOL. It is quite easy if we could only learn to allow them to take the credit for our ideas.

I went off on a different tangent there. I wanted to speak you, my lady friends, about something more meaningful. Ladies, you do not have to have a job. You do not have to have all those other luxeries to be considered a lady. It is preferred (BY YOUR CHILDREN and by many women and men) if you stay home and raise your children. This a very hard and rewarding JOB. It also takes a true measure of true grit. Down to earth common sense that will whoop butt each and every time applied. 🙂

We do not need to follow other women. After all, have you ever heard of the blind leading the blind? That’s right, jump all over me because you misunderstood what I said. For any group or individual to follow any group or individual because they don’t want to take the time to examine the facts themselves is FOOLISH and BLIND.

We are such beautiful creatures with the power to build up or tear down a whole society. The tearing down has already started because we have not been loud enough in standing beside our men. It is not too late for this to change. Let us beautiful people come together, even if it is only with our spouses and/or neighbors, and plant the seeds of reconcilliation. After all, isn’t this what we are asking of a country which has lived through tyranny for most of its existence? Hmm…we can do this. God bless the women of the world, as well as the men. 🙂

This is an article that really bothers me. Anything to do with slavery bothers me to the point no one has ever seen from me. It does not matter the color, the location, the race, the religion, or whatever else there is. IT IS WRONG! I believe it is also a SIN against God.

Yes, it is in the Bible. So is adultry. Why, some may ask? I can answer this. To show us the damages that sins cause, and to teach us how to live and be better people than that. God did not create slavery, man did. If you want to blame it on someone, look into your own heart first. Always, no matter the situation. That is a good rule.

Back to the article. In the area of Uyghur, a minority Muslim part of northwest China, it is very poor. So when the local officials came around telling the families about a ‘training program’ (to work in factories) for the women and girls for which they would be paid 500 yuan per month in the beginning, and later they would be paid up to 900 yuan.

It comes as no surprise to me, but they have received no pay. There are 213 girls that we know of who signed up for this ‘program’. If you would like to read the actual article, it is Radio Free Asia. Please read it, because there is more. The parents and the girls who manage to escape and return home are being punished and made to go back without pay. It is a crime against humanity. Where are the Human Rights groups?!

Do you think we should say something? I do. Do you think we should stop trading with them? I do. Are you are ‘free-market’ person? I was, until I decided to become a FAIR trader.

This time I have a trio for you. This was supposed to be posted Wednesday, but I have been so busy. I apologize for that. This railroad is something else. If you want to increase commerce and bring a country together, build a railroad!

“The Iraq railroad system provides efficient reliable transportation and many people rely on the railroad for traveling. It is also critical for trade and commerce from the deep-water marine port and business centers in southern Iraq to the population centers in northern Iraq,” stated Edison. [Continue reading.]

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if the only fights you heard were the bartering over the prices? Yes, that day will come. I just hope it is sooner rather than later.

In this next article is about my kinda gal. She is the first one in her immediate family to serve, and she did not want to be just anybody. No, she wanted to go for the gusto!

AL ASAD, Iraq – It is estimated that more than 12,000 Native Americans served in the United States military in World War I. There are more than 190,000 Native American military veterans; as the years continue to compile, so do the numbers of Native Americans in the military.

This is an article about the visit that Admiral Fallon took to Iraq to check out the progress of the refineries and the insurgencies.

BAYJI, Iraq – Adm. William Fallon, commander of U.S. Central Command, met with Maj. Gen. Benjamin Mixon, 25th Infantry Division commander, and other Iraqi and coalition leaders, June 11, 2007, at the Bayji Oil Refinery to discuss the future of the refinery.Fallon expressed his concern with getting the Bayji Oil Refinery running at its maximum potential, which included proposed methods for the protection of the oil pipelines that run to other cities and neighboring countries. It may be so that many people are claiming that we went there for oil, but I’d like to see how they were getting around without that crude! BTW, we did not go there for oil, but that’s a given. If there happens to be oil in a place where we have to attack, we are obliged to make sure those fields are protected. Have a great day!

    Happy Father’s Day!

To all the men who’ve taken their job seriously, God bless you. I pray you have a very Happy Father’s Day. For all the men who have been prevented from that great gift, either by the woman not allowing you to a Father or abortion, my heart still goes to you. I just wish you would have tried harder.

I can hear the outcries! Check yourself. Was it because you tired of trying? Did you think it would be better for your child? YOU WERE WRONG! But we all make mistakes. I should know! Happy Sperm Donor’s Day to you.

If you have not been a Father to your children, you do not receive the mantle of Father. Not in my book.

To the men who stood up to the plate, you are the true heroes to your children. Now you have to check deep in your heart to find out whether or not you have been influenced by societal restraints or led your children in the ways of the Lord? Teaching your children that there is right and wrong and what the differences are. (You can do this whether you have a religion or not.)

I pray for all men today, that they are appreciated all year long and not just on this day. I pray all men would step up to the plate and be the men they are supposed to be. I pray, also, that the men of today would remember the Lord.

For those of you who do not like my prayers, DO NOT READ MY SITE! It’s that simple. I’m a Christian woman, and we are lacking Christian men. Oh, there are many men out there, but they have lost their way. Womens’ Lib, political correctness, women lieing, courts believing all women and no men, etc. These men have been attacked and beaten down. They need someone to stand up with them not for them.

Women, love your husband. Husbands, love your wife. Period. God bless you all.

A few days ago in southern China, rural villagers banded together and decided to fight back against their country’s coercive population policy.

When Chinese population police showed up at their door, armed with sledge hammers and cattle prods, many families with more than one child refused to pay their “social child-raising fee.” In response, the population police forcibly took their property and destroyed their homes with sledge hammers.

Please contact Congress about this human rights outrage! [The toll free number is 1-866-340-9281.]

Some poor families would have paid the excessive tax, but they simply couldn’t afford it. The population police didn’t care. One poor farmer saw his home bulldozed before his very eyes after he told officials he couldn’t afford to pay the fines. When he went to a local government office to protest, he returned with broken fingers. His neighbors were outraged. And they fought back.

This recent event was just one of many in a long campaign by the Chinese population police to enforce their so-called “voluntary” one-child policy. Unfortunately, after last week, the villagers couldn’t take it anymore.

In recent months, women faced mandatory health checks and forced abortions at the hands of government officials. Poor families faced exhorbitant fines that they simply could not afford.

It breaks my heart to learn that these families were compelled to resort to violence just to defend their livelihood from the violent population police. The Chinese government likes to claim their population policies are “voluntary.” The broken homes and broken bones of these villagers tell a very different story.

Coercive Population Police attacks just like these are exactly why the U.S. Government doesn’t send your taxpayer dollars to the United Nations Office for Population Assistance, or the UNFPA. After Congress and the State Department found the UNFPA working hand in hand with China’s Population Police to implement the coercive one-child policy, funds were cut off.

But the new abortion Congress thinks human rights abuses like these are OK. And they are calling for renewed funding of the UNFPA.

Please contact Congress today and tell them you don’t want your money supporting organizations that help Chinese officials violate human rights!

Please do not let these abuses fall beneath the radar. Tell Congress today that U.S. taxpayers will not stand for these types of abuse!

Please use our new “Forward to a Friend” link below to share this important message with ten people who share your commitment to women and the unborn around the world.

Here is an e-mail I received today which I would like to share with you. Please sign this petition.

This week there is critical lobbying legislation looming over Congress.

In my years of experience, this legislation has to be one of the greatest threats to freedom of speech that Congress has ever considered.

The ramifications of this legislation are staggering! So in protest, I have launched a nationwide petition campaign via email, radio, television, and the Internet, pressing the House of Representatives to reject this stifling lobbying legislation.

Today, I strongly urge you to SPEAK OUT AGAINST H.R. 2093 BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE by signing right now our online Petition of Protest to your Representative in the House.

This legislation, in essence, attempts to override the United States Constitution.

What we’re dealing with here is the work of politicians who want to control, limit, and silence Christians and conservative groups.

We MUST fight back, and quickly.

This legislation … currently being considered in the House of Representatives … could not be in greater opposition to what our Founding Fathers intended when they wrote the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

House Resolution 2093 would drastically affect churches that speak out on issues like partial-birth abortion, same-sex marriage, conservative judicial nominees, and military chaplains’ right to pray. It would also impact Christian groups using TV, radio, or the Internet to mobilize citizens around an issue.

Under the bill, pastors, church leaders, advocacy organizations and even individuals could be compelled to register as lobbyists. Failure to comply with this bill could result in fines in excess of $50,000.

Furthermore, if this bill passes the House, it will wind up in a conference committee, possibly becoming the law of the land before you even have a chance to raise your voice in protest.

Act TODAY! Add your name to our online Petition of Protest, and take advantage of our website’s forward-to-friend tool to encourage your friends to join our nationwide campaign as well.

This legislation is one of the most significant violations of the free exercise of religion and freedom of political speech in our nation’s history. Here is what I am doing to mount our counter-offense:

    • I have launched a nationwide petition campaign urging the House of Representatives to reject this legislation.
    • I have assembled a legal and legislative team; we have already produced a legal analysis (posted at ACLJ) that details the dangers of the bill, and we are distributing significant legal memorandums throughout Congress.
    • I am personally leading three senior attorneys and our entire Government Affairs team – working with Congress.
    • And we are preparing a complaint to file in federal court if necessary.

We anticipate that the Floor debate will take place in the House this week, with a vote possibly as early as Friday.

Don’t wait on this. Immediately sign the online Petition of Protest and make YOUR VOICE HEARD ON THIS CRITICAL MATTER.

Thank you for participating personally in the fight to preserve our freedom of speech. Please continue to support this effort in prayer in these crucial days ahead.

Women’s groups are incensed – incensed! Patriarchal Supreme Court Justices are after our rights! If we don’t have the right to puncture unborn children’s skulls moments from birth, women cannot live freely.

But what does the Supreme Court’s shifting gears to uphold a national ban on the partial birth abortion procedure really bode for women? Is it really a slippery slope back to the bad old days? Most women leaders purporting to represent women have an opinion, believe you me.

A few hours after learning of the decision, Senator Diane Feinstein took to the Senate Floor to rally America’s abortion activists: “If I were a young woman today, I would be incredibly concerned that this era is drawing to a close. The threat to reproductive freedom is no longer theoretical. All those who care about protecting a woman’s right to privacy should take notice and make their voices heard.”

In her dissent, Justice Ginsburg, attacked Justice Kennedy’s expressed doubts that the procedure placed a difficult moral burden upon women. She said of his comments, “this way of thinking reflects ancient notions about women’s place in the family and under the Constitution – ideas that have long since been discredited.”

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards called Wednesday “a dark day for women’s health and safety.”

National Organization of Women President Kim Gandy rallied her troops: “We must elect a Congress that will repeal this ban and a president who will sign the repeal. November 2008 can’t come soon enough.”

Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton vehemently denounced the Supreme Court’s decision and its conservative majority, saying: “This decision marks a dramatic departure from four decades of Supreme Court rulings that upheld a woman’s right to choose and recognized the importance of women’s health…It is precisely this erosion of our constitutional rights that I warned against when I opposed the nominations of Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito.”

And yet Americans are overwhelmingly supportive of the ban – so are all Americans out to get women? Polls showing women’s support of the ban would suggest that the majority of women are endangering their own rights.

Here’s the problem: if women’s rights are undermined by outlawing a procedure that allows us to choose to mutilate and suction out the brains of a baby, mid-birth, then women’s rights deserve to be trashed. I would suggest that there is more to women’s rights than this. We need go no further than women’s rights trailblazer Elizabeth Cady Stanton to dismiss the idea that women’s rights and abortion rights are synonymous. “When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit,” she wrote in a letter to her friend Julia Ward Howe.

And Susan B. Anthony’s newspaper The Revolution reinforces Justice Kennedy’s assertion about the burden an abortion could have. Her editorial warned, “No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It will burden her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death…”

Further, if denying the choice of this particular procedure is a threat to every choice to abort as our current women leaders claim, then their position cannot be maintained in legislatures. These women are indeed on the wrong side of history – or herstory. Not because of some “ancient” notions of the subjugation of women returning inexplicably to haunt modern women. As if! No, it is because women have intelligence and consciences and are capable of making informed, moral decisions to pass laws that provide the protections of unborn children they support. All the while, they can safeguard their own legitimate human rights.

The old guard’s only hope is in the dictatorship of the Supreme Court. That is because Americans, and women in particular, do not agree that the “right” to abortion is absolute. As a group, they are grappling with which restrictions they support, not whether they support any. Since the so-called right to abort is not absolute, then perhaps it is time the democratic process and the majority of American women who support some restrictions on the procedure be allowed to pass laws in which they believe.

It is past time that women as a “movement” use power for noble and life-giving purposes – rather than for mounting legal arguments to safeguard such a hideous procedure. There is enough suffering and violence in the world.

Honestly, it is past time to throw out this old guard of so-called “women’s leaders,” and it is time to elect women to public office who truly represent women on this issue.

With Ms. Gandy, I could not agree more on one point.  November 2008 cannot come soon enough.

Marjorie Dannenfelser is President of the Susan B. Anthony List.

    Heavy Hearted

I come to you with a heavy heart today. I have just been reading news from Radio Free Asia. There is an Australian woman who needs the world to hear her story of torture in China. Are we really going to have the Olympics there? Wait until you read her story, and you tell me if you want to take that risk.

In Thailand, over 2,000 people were rounded up. They were promised they could find refuge in America, but the Thai gov’t. has decided that it was time to deport them back to Laos.

Another story of my interest is that of the Burmese Opposition Youths seeking signatures on a petition for Democracy. Aung San Suu Kyi is still under house arrest, although she was supposed to be released in April of 2004. The UN is doing nothing. Again.

Speaking of the UN, it is the UN that has been in the way of Progress in Iraq. I am very angered about this. They steal Iraqi money, they demand Iraqi have soveignty, they demand and demand…and what? Now Kofi Annan says that the war was illegal. Oh yeah? Freeing people is illegal? Stopping rape and torture is illegal? Stop mass graves is illegal? Helping people to fight for their liberty is illegal? Kofi, get the hell off my property! You disgrace NYC. You walk around and have your fancy “talks” that do nothing. You let genocide occur, not once but several times! You don’t want anyone to act. Well let my tell you something, Mr Annan, from a New Yorker…I don’t need your permission to do what is right. You are not God, and you certainly are not my father! Now get lost.

    Peace out.
