Last week I received an email informing me that PalTalk was being targeted by jihadis who were trying to shut down an Arabic Christian chat room through a petition drive. It appeared that the ISP agreed to this, if they gathered one million signatures. Well, we received the confirmation today of that lie. They never agreed to any such nonsense, and they are going to stand strongly on the side of constitutional free-speech!

You really must read about this situation over at ACT! For America. They truly have a lot on the ball.

You may even think about signing up to receive their emails. I have learned more about things the news should be covering from these people about all of the little and large, cold and hot, wars we are being confronted with these days. Our freedom relies solely upon our shoulders.

There is a new Canadian blogger which just happens to be a Muslim who understands how precious liberty and freedom of speech are to a free society. Bravo!

The name of the site is Muslims Against Sharia. I really like this one post: Canada: Freedom of Speech succumbing to Kangaroo Courts of the Human Rights Commission. (Actually, every post is quite informative, well written, and good.) This is a must listen to recording of the Human Rights Commission in Canada against Ezra Levant. It will blow your mind.

Bravo, Ezra! BTW, would you like to know his crime? He published cartoons of Mohammed in the magazine where he works. His accuser? A Saudi radical idiot.

I will be adding this blog to my sidebar, because I believe this group deserves all the support we can give them. We want them to speak up, so when they do, we must speak up with them. We want them to be successful in their plight to make their voices heard. Thank you, everyone. Have a nice day.

UPDATE: Here is a list of Canadians who have been or are in the process of being silenced: Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld, Fouad al-Farhan, Joe Kaufman, Ezra Levant, Mark Steyn, and you. You do not know if you are next, now do you? Hmm…You will find this post here: Islamofascist-Dhimmi Axis Assault on Free Speech: Latest Casualties at Muslims Against Sharia.

BTW, there is a free petition to help Mark Steyn fight back against these jihadi nuts. Please sign it. It is on top of the page, right underneath the title to this site. Thank you.

UPDATE II: It is with a heavy heart that I must report to you that we may have been deceived. I can understand being upset with someone for what they wrote, but if you are truly in support of free speech, you should at least be polite about your disagreement. I’m afraid that is not the case with Muslims Against Sharia. I am very disappointed and saddened and angry. What we need is someone in the Muslim community to stand up so that others may follow suit, but no. How can they when others try to take advantage of the goodwill of people? They deceive people that do not know them so they can intimidate people who do know them. Well, I do not like this. Not one bit.

What happened to make me change my mind? You should read the vulgarity used while leaving comments on other peoples’ sites! It is terrible! My friend, StageLeft (Meet Ezra’s New Non-Muslim “Muslim” Friends! and Quotes from the Scholars at “Muslims Against Sharia”) has gathered quite a few of them for you to read. Please be forewarned, they are vulgar. I could not believe my eyes. I guess mohammed does not care what type of language is used while trying to get your message out. I know for a fact that JESUS DOES CARE.

How would you react if one day you awoke to find there are now laws against what you cannot say, what you must say, extra taxes you must pay because of your religion or lack thereof, and your money has been confiscated because it was not kosher?

It is coming, unless we do something about it. I was posting an article that Debbie over Right Truth had posted, and I found that an Englishman will be taken into custody by the police for having written the truth about these animals–jihadists. It is true. His name and site are Lionheart and you can find this information also on his site.

This is England! I guess I could say this was England. How very sad. What do you say about bombarding 10 Downing St., London, England, with letters of disapproval and disbelief? Maybe if we raise such an uproar we can turn tide of jihadists in England. One thing is for sure. This is no way to fight a war…

Alas, if that were the only problem, but I am afraid the whoa is more and close.

Coughlin sacked.

By Bill Gertz
Washington Times

Stephen Coughlin, the Pentagon specialist on Islamic law and Islamist extremism, has been fired from his position on the military’s Joint Staff. The action followed a report in this space last week revealing opposition to his work for the military by pro-Muslim officials within the office of Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England. As for the banking situation, these money-grubbing bankers who belong to no country (or so they think) have embraced the Islamic Sharia Laws so much as to include them on the Board of Directors! So the world banks are now being managed by the BOD rather than the managers. Have you ever tried to reason with a board member? It is not as easy as you may imagine.

Here is an article for you to see what is actually happening to our finances and why.

By Patrick Wood
Editor of The August Review

News with Views.

…With Great Britain now pledging to become the Islamic banking center of the world, the stampede by all global banks to enter the world of Islamic banking is well underway.

The implications for the west, and especially for the United States, are staggering. Because all Islamic banking products must be created and offered according to strict Shari’a law, global banks are doing for Islam what it could never do on its own: give legitimacy to Shari’a and infiltrate it into the fabric of western society. To complete-for now-this article, here is an article I found quite interesting. These words are true. Most Americans seem to forget (if we ever knew) about the jihad against the Hindus and Buddhists in India. It is written by Jerry Gordon of American Congress for Truth.

Now to the Open Trackback Weekend or Friday, whichever you prefer. It makes no mind to me. 😉

I have written an article to introduce to the Committee to Protect Bloggers (CPB). Now I will introduce you to the very great work they do.

This one is about Abdul Kareem Nabeel Suleiman. He is a young Egyptian blogger who has been sentenced (back in February of this year) to 4 years in prison for ‘contempt of religion’ and 1 year for ‘defaming the president of Egypt.’ There is, however, a group (Free Kareem) which has been trying to free this man. Their campaign would you sign a petition, and I am asking you to do so as well. You may reach them at their site. Thank you.

If you think your freedom of speech has been infringed, listen to this:

Mideast Youth reports that Kuwaiti blogger Bashar Al-Sayegh was arrested on August 19, according to the blog Forza Kuwait. According to the blog The Kuwaiti, “Bashar Al-Sayegh was arrested and beaten yesterday by the Kuwaiti Secret Police for an anonymous comment on Bashar’s forum regarding the Amir (which was deleted).”

An update on The Kuwaiti’s post says Bashar has been released. The Kuwait confirms it and sends pictures.

This, too, is care of CPB. Now on to one of those friendly allies: Turkey.

WordPress Blocked in Turkey

According to Matt Mullenweg, the founder of the WordPress blogging platform, the hosted version of the program, WordPress.com, has been blocked in Turkey.

It looks as though a law suit brought against a Turkish internet company by an individual resulted in allegedly libelous material being brought down by a wholesale blocking of the popular platform.

This is still very odd. Some say it was on purpose, others an accident. Some say the military was involved, some say an Islamic creationist.

Nice guys, eh? All of you people using WordPress have cause to be as upset as I am. So you did not think they could come after you because you are in America?

Tips to CPB

If you become aware of a threat to a blogger, or of the action of a government that is likely to have an effect on blogging, please let us know. Also, if you have been called in for questioning, let us know and indicate whether you would like us to post on it, or to have a post ready in the eventuality that you do not return home by a certain time. We have done this for bloggers in the past.

Please do not wait until there is no one left to help you before you respond…

This group, the Committee to Protect Blogger (CPB), is one of the most useful sites I have come across in my three years of blogging. These people really go to bat for us to protect our free speech, and they warn us and inform us about the people who have been imprisoned in different countries so that we can come together, no matter our political stripes, to try to free these people.

You have absolutely no idea how many people are taken away never to be heard from again until there is in outcry from the international communitees. While these countries, Iran-the ME-China-etc., do this on a continual basis; they do also do not like the negative attention given them. These are countries that actually care what their reputation outside of their respective countries are. It is up to all of us, Liberals and Conservates and everyone in-between, to shame these countries so that we may possibly save some lives. It has been done.

Have you ever noticed that sunlight is the best disinfectant? Yes, it has been and will continue to be. I hope I count on you to spread the word that CPB is back in business, and I also expect you to put this organization on your sidebar. Why? There is no telling when it may be YOU they are after next…

    The Iranian Threat

This map links to a different map. I goofed when I added the extra link to make the map larger. Just so you know.
As I was checking out who was reading my site, I was surprised to find that people from inside Iran are continuing find me. This is not a bad thing, I am just surprised. Anyway, this map is what I found they were looking for so I am providing it for them.

I have quite a few friends in Iran and outside of Iran who are Iranian. They are very kind and gentle people who are trapped by their government. They could be very prosperous, very welcomed in many countries, and so much more. As it is, there are sanctions against the government. I pray the people understand these sanctions are NOT against them, although they are the ones who will suffer the most.

Hopefully soon, my friends will be able to walk and talk freely, just as we are able to in our country. They are human, too, after all. As far as the terrorists go, however, I would do anything in my power to help them go meet their allah! Speed it up, guys. 🙂

Update: Regarding the title, I lost my train of thought. Please forgive me. It happens when I’ve been up all night. lol.

    From VOA News:

“[You have] [Iranian] President [Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad [has] multiple times [been] talking about wiping Israel off the map. Now they’ve shifted their focus to Bahrain and they want to gobble up Bahrain. Well, I think it’s another indication of how this is a regime that operates completely outside the accepted norms of international behavior.” [Continue reading.]

Another great article which tells us at length the threat we are facing:

Iran continued its threats against Bahrain after an editorial in the Iranian news last week claimed that Bahrain was a province of Iran. [Continue reading.]

This last quote comes from Gateway Pundidt. Great blogger, as usual.

If Iran is going to keep threatening to confiscate the three islands (which are countries of their own), Bahran and some of the other tiny countries, then who’s to say they won’t pull another ‘Hitler’? Mr. Shaiatmadami is the ‘person’ who wrote the editorial that is one of the focuses of this rancor. (Sorry, I can’t find the link. I’ll keep looking, though.) Well, Iran had to back off this time. Yes, this time…but what about the next time when they have nukes?

PS: Today is an open trackback day. All I ask in return is return the favor. Thank you, and have a great day.

It’s the only word that I could think of that rhymes, okay? Now let’s move forward. The SCOTUS may have to go back and look at the way they ruled on the McCain/Feingold Incumbant Protection Act-er-Campaing Finance Reform Act.

They have ruled today on FEC v. Wisconsin Right to Life (No. 06-969) and McCain v. Wisconsin Right to Life (No. 06-970). The outcome was finally correct. Most normal people may breathe a sigh of relief. Finally, the court has decided that it cannot take away our free speech rights. Especially during a campaign!

If you would like to read any of the decisions, you will find them here:

You can read the ACLJ amicus brief here.
You can read the Supreme Court decision here.

Led by Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow, the American Center for Law and Justice specializes in constitutional law and is based in Washington, D.C.

There is another case that was disclosed today. Hein v. Freedom From Religion Foundation (U.S. No. 06-157). This one is about some athiets trying stop the use Faith Based programs. You can read more here. You may also find related sources here:

ACLJ Pleased Supreme Court Loosens Limits on Election Advertising.

    Full Issue Brief.

I am getting so fed up with the ignorance of the American people. THERE IS NO SEPERATE OF CHURCH AND STATE. Read your constitution if you don’t believe me. Show me where you find those words! Besides, if it were so, why did they have prayers and Church inside the Congress? HMM? Oh, you did not know this? See, that’s what I’m talking about. I am not saying people are stupid. I wouldn’t do that. I am saying you are ignorant to the facts of history.

(Probably for the same reason I was/am. I was bored to tears by the teachers I got stuck with! But now we have no excuse. We are older.) After Psalm 96, read the 5th paragraph. You will find that our FIRST President and our FIRST congress recognized God Almighty. If, as they are trying to say now, we are to have no contact with our Maker, I dare say, how are we supposed to live? Like animals? I WILL NOT!

I’m quite sure there are many more souces (just look in our governmental archives), but I really must get going. I have much work to do over at DoD Daily News-2, DoD Daily News and Rosemary’s Thoughts. I’ve decided to consolidate everything I write over at Rosemary’s Thoughts. Plus, I am going to writing over there by myself and for myself. Since it’s new, I can spill my guts and no one will notice. lol. Everyone have a nice day.

PS. Even the Left should be grateful, even though this ruling did not go their way. This ruling did go the way of Free Speech. At least for THAT we can agree.

Actually, it is known as McCain-Feingold’s, “Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act.” HA! That’s a laugh. Now they are trying to shut up bloggers as well. But that’s a different story from this.

In the 2004 elections, Wisconsin’s Right to Life tried to run an ad asking voters to call the Senate to tell their representatives not to join in the filibuster against President Bush’ judicial nominees. They were denied access by the FEC, because they said that this group was trying to influence the outcome of the election.

May I pleace ask a question? Why do we have to listen to all these blowhards who have a lot of money from the lobbyists they get to have lunch with while our political free speech is silenced? Are we truly equal or are polititians more privileged than we?

I found out that this is going to the SCOTUS (Supreme Court of the US) in April and will be decided by the end of the court’s term this year. This is a good thing. A bad thing? President Bush is siding with the FEC. So is McCain. Who isn’t siding with Bush and McCain? The RNC! My God, what is going on around here?

If you would like to read more about this issue, there is an article in the Washington Post entitled, High Court To Revisit Campaign Finance Law written by Robert Barnes and Matthew Mosk. If you would care to look up this case, it’s numbers are Federal Election Commission v. Wisconsin Right to Life (06-969) and McCain v. Wisconsin Right to Life (06-970). Have a great day.

Mr. President: I told you so

I have been reading about Mr. Sean Treglia who used to work at Pew Charitable Trusts. You would think the press would be all over this. They are not. You would think the bloggers would be all over this. They are not. Oh, some have written a few sentences here and there, but nothing like Rathergate. Why or why not?

This is the feedback I wrote to them:

“Good afternoon. I have been reading articles that are stating that Mr. Sean Treglia “broke the spirit of the law” (his words) while giving a speech at USC. Is this true?

This has to do with the Philadelphia-based branch and campaign finance reform. I would like to have your side of the issue before I go to print. If I do not hear from you, I will assume the NY Post and the Opinion Journal are correct in their statements. I would be very disappointed if this is the case.

Do you understand how much damage you have done? (If this is true.)

I understand he no longer works there. Was he fired because of this? I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. It goes to print Tuesday evening.

    Thank you for your time.

I told them I am from the Americans for Truth and Justice, which is true. I am for truth, and I am for justice. I am also very American! So what is the big deal I am talking about?

Mr. Sean Treglia gave a speech at USC, and he virtually confessed to fruad. It was all intended for the 535 people in power in Washington, DC. He also did much damage to you and me.

How did he do that? Ryan Sager of the New York Post online has obtained a video tape of a conference held at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication in March of 2004 about how he got away with scamming the Congress and Senate into voting for Campaign Finance Reform, otherwise known as Incumbent Security Reform. See for yourself:

Charged with promoting campaign-finance reform when he joined Pew in the mid-1990s, Treglia came up with a three-pronged strategy: 1) pursue an expansive agenda through incremental reforms, 2) pay for a handful of “experts” all over the country with foundation money and 3) create fake business, minority and religious groups to pound the table for reform.

“The target audience for all this activity was 535 people in Washington,” Treglia says — 100 in the Senate, 435 in the House. “The idea was to create an impression that a mass movement was afoot — that everywhere they looked, in academic institutions, in the business community, in religious groups, in ethnic groups, everywhere, people were talking about reform.”

Well, well. How about that? Do you realize the FEC is going after bloggers’ free speech? Go ahead and sit pretty in your cubicles, but when that day comes and you’ve said and did nothing, I don’t want to hear it.

So what can we do? We can have Congress investigate this? Yeah right. They already look like fools to me. How about having the President tell the Justice Department to look at it? Yeah right. He’s the one who signed it into law in the first place. I called so many times trying to reason with him, and he signed it anyway. No. We can’t even go to the IRS, because Treglia was careful enough to disclose to them what he was doing.

So what now? We go to the Federal Elections Board? They are the ones trying to shut you and me down. I’m thinking, alright?! The next election is coming. We can make this a big issue. A law has been given, and a law can been taken away!

Campaign only for people who promise to fight illegal aliens and to repeal the campaign finance reform law. We have to come together. I don’t believe Republicans or Democrats like being duped. Let us show the press that if they do not do their jobs, we will.

If the press had investigated this, PEW would have been laughed out of DC. The PEW has/had no credibility in Washington, according to Mr. Treglia. That is why the people who ran the ads did not include the fact that the PEW Trust fund had financed them.

This is illegal. This violates the transparency issues. Of $140 million dollars, $123 million was received from only 8 fundraising organizations. Yes, Soros was one of them. They want to silence us, so we must not let that happen. Keep this story alive. I want him behind bars. I’m pretty sure there will be updates to this.

My friend Jack of Clubs has been doing a very good job on keeping everyone informed about this. He has a list of everyone he knows who has written an article about this. Please visit his site to get more ideas. Thank you, and keep on blogging!

    Incumbent Finance Reform

My, my, my. So you don’t like the 527’s after all, Sen. Kerry, Sen. McCain, and President Bush? HA HA HA. I don’t like government trampling on my first amendment right to free “political” speech! Do you know what I am talking about? Amendment 1. Congress shall make NO law…! It came back to bite you in your butt, did it John Kerry? Ha ha ha. Tough. It doesn’t control 527’s, so people can say what they like John McCain. Ha ha ha. Tough. If my father, whom I love, cannot shut me up, what makes you think you can? What gives you that right? These are God given rights, not government given. I thought I already made that clear, as did our Founding Fathers! President Bush, shame on you!

Micheal Moore comes out, Kerry and you said nothing. Moveon.org compare our President to Hitler, Kerry and you said nothing. Al Gore goes off the deep end, Kerry and you said nothing. Sen. Kennedy calls you a liar on the Senate floor, Kerry and you said nothing. Now that we have a real debate about the record of Kerry, all of a sudden…everyone calls “foul?” You can’t have it both ways, gents.

Are you aware that 87% of all $$$ raised went to Democrats? When the Swift Boat Veterens for Truth raised a couple hundred thousand $$$, everyone has a cow? Why?

So now you want to go to court to shut us up, after you failed in May? Don’t you remember? Been there, done that? I remember! You tried to stop it then. By the way…where were you, Mr. Kerry, if you feel so strongly about getting rid of this money? Shame on Congress and you, Mr. President!

Why don’t you just get rid of ALL campaign finance laws and let the people speak! WE HAVE THAT GOD GIVEN RIGHT! I am so angry at you, Prez. You haven’t even veto’d ANYTHING! For the first time in history, a president has not veto’d one stinking thing! This is one you should have. You don’t sign it into law and then expect the Supremes to pull your butt out of the frying pan!

This article may be all over the map, because I can see red, but not the computer! My thoughts are all over the place, because I have held this in for a long time. Please forgive me if my points of contention are all over the place. Thanks. God bless us, forgive us, and save us!
