There are two articles today from CNN, but they have been around for a time. One has to do with that rapist that was set free due to nonsense, IMHO. He had 4 interpreters over 3 years of delaying the trial, and then the stupid judge decides HIS rights were being violated because he did not have the exact interpreter?! Hogwash! What about the 7 year old girl he raped? Where are HER rights? Who is going to protect her against illegal aliens?

This next article is also from CNN, and I like this one. Poland agrees to allow us to help them with a missle defense system, no matter what the others say! I like that attitude. 🙂

Yesterday Congressman Duncan Hunter (CA-R) testified in front of the Senate of behalf of Border Patrol Agents Mr. Compean and Mr. Ramos. He has sent out a press release for you to be aware of all he is trying to do to have these gentlemen released from prison for which they are in due to bogus charges and the word of an illegal alien drug smuggler. [Emphasis mine.]

For immediate release:

Hunter testifies for border patrol agents.
California Congressman seeks full pardon for Ramos and Compean (Washington, D. C.)

United States Congressman Duncan Hunter took his fight to the nation’s capitol today (July 17) to convince President Bush to pardon two border patrol agents he feels were unjustly imprisoned. Hunter appeared before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Homeland Security.

The California Congressman testified that he strongly supports a Presidential pardon of former agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean because, “there is absolutely no justification for such unfair and excessive prison sentences.”

The incident dates back to February 2005, when the agents tried to stop a van driven by alleged drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila near the Mexico border. According to court documents, a scuffle ensued between agent Compean and suspect Aldrete-Davila. The suspect broke loose and fled on foot.

Agent Ramos says he believes that he saw a gun, a fact contradicted by the suspect. Both agents reportedly fired at Aldrete-Davila, who fell, then continued his escape across the border. Later, Ramos and Compean filed their official report listing the 743-pounds of marijuana they found in the van, but failed to mention the gunfire.

A Homeland Security agent apparently heard about the episode and traveled to Mexico. According to court documents, the Homeland Security agent offered Aldrete-Davila immunity, if he would testify against Ramos and Compean.

In his testimony today, Hunter took offense to that arrangement. “The U.S. government sadly decided to side with the drug dealer and prosecute agents Compean and Ramos for simply fulfilling their duties as border patrolmen.

The drug smuggler walked away from the incident with only a wound in his rear-end, and the opportunity to attempt another drug run.”

Hunter continued, “The men and women of the border patrol are certainly not above the laws they are empowered to enforce, but, they must also know that when they apply the necessary and appropriate level of force, their government will not work aggressively to ensure they are punished while lawlessness is rewarded.”

U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, a Bush appointee, prosecuted the agents.

In March, a jury found them guilty of assault with a dangerous weapon, discharge of a firearm during a violent crime, obstructing justice, lying about the incident, and willfully violating Aldrete-Davila’s Fourth Amendment right to be free from illegal seizure.

Because there was gunfire, the mandatory-minimum prison sentence the agents will serve is 10 years. The U.S. Probation Office in El Paso, Texas, had recommended 20 years for each of the two agents.

Hunter reemphasized his belief that, “there is absolutely no justification for such unfair and excessive prison sentences.”

Hunter’s congressional district is in southern California near the border with Mexico. He told the members of the subcommittee, “I represent the border communities, and have for more than 26-years. I have worked with the fine men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol to ensure they receive the support and resources they need to address the constant intrusion of drug and human smugglers across our borders. It troubles me to think that questionable testimony by a drug smuggler, who was granted immunity, and free medical care for his cooperation, was put before the two border patrol agents who willingly accepted this inherently dangerous responsibility.”

Hunter noted, “The very day they surrendered to federal custody, I recommended that agents Compean and Ramos be segregated and was assured they would be removed from the general population and close attention was being paid to their personal safety.

The attack against agent Ramos indicates concerns for his personal safety and protection were ignored.” On February 6, 2007, Hunter wrote to the President requesting that an investigation be conducted into the attack against agent Ramos.

The letter also requested that Bureau of Prisons Director Harley Lappin be discharged from his position should it be ascertained that the proper precautions were not taken.

Hunter concluded his testimony by emphasizing his belief that, “Pardoning agents Compean and Ramos is the only option available to correct this terrible injustice and, just as importantly, restoring the confidence of the border patrol and the American people that their nation is serious about enforcing its immigration and smuggling laws.”

Hunter has said when elected president, his first order of business will be to pardon the agents. Hunter has led the national campaign for border security and immigration reform. He has been joined by scores of his fellow members, and several activist groups.

He was the only Republican Presidential Candidate to attend Tuesday’s hearing.

Observers believe that the subcommittee members sought Hunter’s testimony because of his long fight for a more secure border and his legislative initiatives.

Hunter drafted legislation that was signed by the President to construct over 800 miles of fence on the southern border. Only a few miles of fencing have been completed. Hunter has charged that the department of Homeland Security has the money and the mandate, but “the administration has a ‘case of the slows’ in getting the fence built.”

He has pledged that, “he will see that the fence is up within six month after he takes office as President.

Mr. President: I told you so

I have been reading about Mr. Sean Treglia who used to work at Pew Charitable Trusts. You would think the press would be all over this. They are not. You would think the bloggers would be all over this. They are not. Oh, some have written a few sentences here and there, but nothing like Rathergate. Why or why not?

This is the feedback I wrote to them:

“Good afternoon. I have been reading articles that are stating that Mr. Sean Treglia “broke the spirit of the law” (his words) while giving a speech at USC. Is this true?

This has to do with the Philadelphia-based branch and campaign finance reform. I would like to have your side of the issue before I go to print. If I do not hear from you, I will assume the NY Post and the Opinion Journal are correct in their statements. I would be very disappointed if this is the case.

Do you understand how much damage you have done? (If this is true.)

I understand he no longer works there. Was he fired because of this? I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. It goes to print Tuesday evening.

Thank you for your time.

I told them I am from the Americans for Truth and Justice, which is true. I am for truth, and I am for justice. I am also very American! So what is the big deal I am talking about?

Mr. Sean Treglia gave a speech at USC, and he virtually confessed to fruad. It was all intended for the 535 people in power in Washington, DC. He also did much damage to you and me.

How did he do that? Ryan Sager of the New York Post online has obtained a video tape of a conference held at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication in March of 2004 about how he got away with scamming the Congress and Senate into voting for Campaign Finance Reform, otherwise known as Incumbent Security Reform. See for yourself:

Charged with promoting campaign-finance reform when he joined Pew in the mid-1990s, Treglia came up with a three-pronged strategy: 1) pursue an expansive agenda through incremental reforms, 2) pay for a handful of “experts” all over the country with foundation money and 3) create fake business, minority and religious groups to pound the table for reform.

“The target audience for all this activity was 535 people in Washington,” Treglia says — 100 in the Senate, 435 in the House. “The idea was to create an impression that a mass movement was afoot — that everywhere they looked, in academic institutions, in the business community, in religious groups, in ethnic groups, everywhere, people were talking about reform.”

Well, well. How about that? Do you realize the FEC is going after bloggers’ free speech? Go ahead and sit pretty in your cubicles, but when that day comes and you’ve said and did nothing, I don’t want to hear it.

So what can we do? We can have Congress investigate this? Yeah right. They already look like fools to me. How about having the President tell the Justice Department to look at it? Yeah right. He’s the one who signed it into law in the first place. I called so many times trying to reason with him, and he signed it anyway. No. We can’t even go to the IRS, because Treglia was careful enough to disclose to them what he was doing.

So what now? We go to the Federal Elections Board? They are the ones trying to shut you and me down. I’m thinking, alright?! The next election is coming. We can make this a big issue. A law has been given, and a law can been taken away!

Campaign only for people who promise to fight illegal aliens and to repeal the campaign finance reform law. We have to come together. I don’t believe Republicans or Democrats like being duped. Let us show the press that if they do not do their jobs, we will.

If the press had investigated this, PEW would have been laughed out of DC. The PEW has/had no credibility in Washington, according to Mr. Treglia. That is why the people who ran the ads did not include the fact that the PEW Trust fund had financed them.

This is illegal. This violates the transparency issues. Of $140 million dollars, $123 million was received from only 8 fundraising organizations. Yes, Soros was one of them. They want to silence us, so we must not let that happen. Keep this story alive. I want him behind bars. I’m pretty sure there will be updates to this.

My friend Jack of Clubs has been doing a very good job on keeping everyone informed about this. He has a list of everyone he knows who has written an article about this. Please visit his site to get more ideas. Thank you, and keep on blogging!

Lost Secrets

Former National Security Adviser (NSA,) Sandy Berger, under Mr. Clinton from 1996-2001, has been under investigation by the FBI since October 2003. He has come forward and made the statement that he did indeed remove classified documents “accidentally,” it was a mistake and he is sorry. He also stated he had cleared all this up in October, and for anyone to think it was anything else, well, they are wrong.

According to my sources, in order to go into the secured area where he went, you cannot take anything inside with you and you cannot leave with anything. Not even a copy. It is a crime. There are people trained to guard classified documents that are stationed everywhere in the building, and there are no cameras (no pictures of classified information!) He apparently “misplaced” the documents in his “pants” and socks “accidentally.” This happened 5 times, of which we are aware, and approximately 90 pages of documents had been taken. During these “accidents,” the guards noticed missing documents, so they marked the ones they suspected were of interest to him. They were taken, also. Some of these documents have been “lost.”

Mr. Berger was acting as Sen. Kerry’s NSA, and he made many negative statements against President Bush, as did other supporters of Mr. Kerry. The news about the FBI investigation broke on Monday evening, and Sen. Kerry let him go Tuesday. Mr Clinton claims to have known about the investigation. It is not clear whether or not Sen. Kerry knew. Mr. Clinton testified before the 9/11 Commission, which is due to be released tomorrow, Thursday, July 22, 2004. The Democrat National Convention in Boston is also scheduled for July 26, 2004. Coincidence? Maybe.

Now, getting to the nitty gritty, what did Mr. Berger know? It is whispered that those documents were missing when President Bush took office, and they included the terrorism alert schedule for the millennium New Year’s Eve and computer count down to 1900! What did Mr. Berger take and why? He claims there were hand written notes on these documents. Did they include the offer of Osama bin Ladin by the Sudan? Why are they missing? We have heard he was sloppy from Mr. Clinton, et. al., who worked with him. Why was a sloppy lawyer hired to protect the national security of the United States? If he was sloppy, was this the first time national secret were “lost?” “Mistakenly” removed from the premises? Mr. Berger also testified before the Commission. Why was he allowed to testify while under criminal investigation? Was his “testimony” tainted? Was Mr. Clinton’s testimony tainted? Will there be a Congressional hearing? Has his top security clearance been revoked?

These questions need to be answered and soon. We cannot afford to leave the American people hanging, especially in these uncertain times of war. It is no longer play today, pay tomorrow. We’ve been there and done that. We ended up with September 11, 2001. Do you remember?
